Benefits of Associate Membership

The Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) is a nonprofit, nonlobbying corporation formed and funded by the insurance industry and is dedicated to reducing the effects of natural disasters and other property losses. IBHS's vision is a nation that promotes resiliency from natural disasters and other property losses by developing an infrastructure that is damage-resistant and through personal and corporate action that helps minimize disruption to normal life and work patterns.

The Associate Members of IBHS are publicly expressing their support for IBHS's mission. We invite you to join the organizations and individuals who, working cooperatively, will help to develop a safer future for all.

As an Associate Member, you will enjoy these benefits:

  • Access to IBHS analyses, publications and study papers
  • Link to the IBHS website and from the IBHS website to the Associate Member site
  • A special discount on the purchase of IBHS materials and the option to co-logo IBHS materials
  • Access to the research and online resources of IBHS's Information Center
  • Membership announcement in the monthly Quicknotes publication
  • Advance information and reduced fees for admission to all IBHS-sponsored public meetings and seminars, including the annual conference

Please mail your completed application with your membership dues check or complete credit card information to Laura M. Lockhart at IBHS, 4775 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, FL 33617. Upon receipt, you will be sent a welcome packet confirming receipt and associate membership.

Please note:All insurers licensed or qualified to write property or casualty insurance in any of the United States and all reinsurers licensed to reinsure those risks are not eligible for Associate Membership in IBHS. Follow this link to learn how to become a full Member of IBHS.
